Once one of the top prospects in all of baseball, Los Angeles Angels outfield prospect Jo Adell has been smashing the baseball down in Triple-A.
Through 23 games this season, Adell is batting .280 with 10 home runs and 20 RBI.
During a six-game stretch from April 4-9, Adell hit a home run in all six games including two in the last game on April 9.

With this production so early in the season, Adell doesn't have much more left to prove as he waits for the call-up to the big-league squad in 2023.
Struggling mightily Adell never really found his footing in the major leagues, in three separate stints with the Angels since 2020 Adell appeared in 161 games slashing .215/.259/.356 with 15 home runs and 60 RBI. He had a major problem chasing pitches and struggled with pitch recognition as a whole with 194 strikeouts compared to 26 walks.
Also known for his struggles in the outfield during this time, Adell has put in a lot of work in the offseason to get himself ready for another shot in the majors and it's showing on the field.

While outfield production isn't the biggest need, an added jolt to the lineup could always help as the team continues to push on with the 2023 season or he could be used as a trade piece if they decide to move on while his value is higher than its been in the past two seasons.
Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani both are two of the sport's biggest superstars, so the Angels don't need Adell to carry the team and without as much pressure to produce this time around it could benefit both sides.
However, the Angels could always use some more help as they try to keep pace with the rest of the teams in the American League West and in the battle for the wild card.
