Well the Daytona 500 lived up to its name as the Great American Race. I really thought that it was Kevin Harvick's race but suprisingly it was Jamie McMurray. It was truly an amazing finish and to see Junior just march from 10th to 2nd in just one lap at the end was like seeing his father racing.

Congratulations again Jamie!!!

Well here I am out in San Diego, far away from my Connecticut home and I must tell you the weather out here is just beautiful. It is around 65 degrees today and the sun is shining. I flew out here yesterday for work where I will be training the USS Albuquerque SSN-706. My job does take me to places all over the United States and overseas which I find so interesting because I get to see all the different cultures and people.

I will be flying back to Connecticut the Friday and I am hoping to have some pictures to share with everyone.

I know my blog is brand new and I still have no comments from any of my posts but that is okay, I just enjoy blogging and sharing my thoughts with everyone here.

I am really enjoying this new Video player that has been provided by Yardbarker.

Will this spoiler be approved to be used in the 2010 season? There are several drivers which include Tony Stewart who are currently conducting testing for the new spoiler.  The drivers are seeing some differences with the car handling and it appears to be all positive.  Next up is to have all the cars running together to see how the spoiler effects the car in the draft and in passing.

What are your thoughts about this proposed change?

I am truly blessed to have such beautiful daughters. Kaitlynne is on the left and Chelsey is on the right. They mean the world to me and I would do anything for them.

Kaitlynne will be heading off to college next year. After she graduates this year, she will be attending Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island where she will be pursuing her dream of being a pasty chef and owning her own pastry shop. Now that is what I talk about a career that you don't hear about all the time.

Chelsey is a sophmore this year. She is such a talented young lady and has a beautiful voice as she sings in various choirs at school. She is also part of the bells group at our local church.

As I said, I am truly blessed.

Well we all have to start off somewhere and what better way then a quick message to say hi to everyone here at Yard Barker. I am looking forward to making some great friends here.

I am so ready for the 2010 NASCAR season to start.
