Ralf Schumacher claims Sergio Perez will be ‘definitely out’ of Red Bull in 2025
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Sergio Perez has been making his trade with Red Bull since 2021. He is in the final year of his contract, but the Mexican feels he can extend it based on his current performances. However, the former F1 driver, Ralf Schumacher believes that the Austrian outfit won’t renew his contract.

Despite driving the same car as Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez falls behind in terms of performance. The latter might be the second fastest on the grid, but with time, he will most probably be overtaken by someone else. This affects the overall results of the team and according to Ralf Schumacher, Red Bull will part ways with Perez.

The 34-year-old has so far managed to amass 64 points in the ongoing campaign.

I don't think he will be a candidate in 2025 – he declared – I'm pretty sure Sergio Pérez won't will get another chance. We also saw it in Japan: if everything goes well, he can get close to Verstappen for a short period of time, but then in the race you see that they are two worlds apart with the same car. A team can't afford something like this in the long run, so the collaboration will definitely end. Ralf Schumacher said: formulapassion

Red Bull has given Perez till summer break to prove his place, and so far, he has been able to maintain the team’s confidence. He has been doing everything to keep his seat for the 2025 season of the pinnacle of motor racing.

Ralf Schumacher believes Carlos Sainz will replace Sergio Perez

While Ralf Schumacher believes Perze will get replaced by Red Bull, he also thinks that an intelligent driver like Carlos Sainz might get hired by Christian Horner and Co. In recent times, the Spaniard has become the most sought-after driver in the driver market.

Schumacher genuinely feels Sainz has the potential to replace Sergio Perez.

For me , after the last race, Carlos Sainz will sign for Red Bull. Carlos is used to sitting next to strong people, and Verstappen's time will also end sooner or later. Carlos knows this, and a driver always believes he is the best, otherwise he wouldn't be a driver. He is convinced he can beat him. Ralf Schumacher via: formulapassion

The German has backed Carlos Sainz to do a solid job if he signs with the Red Bull F1 team. The latter has already amassed a Grand Prix win this year and has shown solid form. If he keeps up his performances throughout 2024, he will most definitely be seen repping the blue gear of Red Bull during the 2025 season.
